Rebecca S. Day

Rebecca S. Day, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 28, 2026, at Woodland Hospice Home in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is remembered for her extraordinarily caring and loving nature, traits that defined her life and the relationships she nurtured.

Born with an innate kindness, Rebecca was dedicated to her family, harboring a great love for her husband, Scott A. Day, whom she married on September 21, 2019. Her devotion extended to her mother Suzanne Tilley and her four children: Vanessa (Travis) Schumann, Rob (Amy) Westergard, James (Jonathan) Westergard, and Brooklene (Blake) Trombley. As a grandmother, she embraced her role with joy and pride, doting on her grandchildren: Landon Schumann, Brayden Westergard, Peyton Schumann, Kylie Wood, and Avery Schumann, creating memories that they will carry in their hearts.

Rebecca's personality shone brightly through her many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed shopping, hunting, and fishing, pursuits that brought her joy and allowed her to share special moments with her family. Additionally, she thrived as a makeup consultant and influencer, where her creativity and passion for beauty inspired many.

She is survived by her loving husband Scott, her mother Suzanne, her children, and her sisters, Tammy (Bruce) Liphard and Heather (Brian) Hampton. Rebecca was predeceased by her father, Ronald Tilley, and her grandmother, Dorothy O'Shields.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Gephart Funeral Home, located at 201 W Midland St, Bay City, MI 48706 conducted by Rev. Joseph Atchinson with cremation following . Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Rebecca's memory and reflecting on the profound impact she had during her life. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to the American Cancer Society. Rebecca S. Day will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, care, and joyful spirit will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew her.
