Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away suddenly early Sunday morning September 4, 2016 at Hampton Manor Assisted Living. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Cendrowski) Kaczynski was born June 20, 1929 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a former member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church and is a member of All Saints Parish - St. James Church. Jean retired from Mercy Hospital/Bay Regional Medical Center and Meijer in Essexville. Most of all Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dog; Timber. Left to cherish her memories are one son and daughter-in-law; Patrick and Rosemary Gorzenski of Bay City, two grandchildren; Meaghan and Jacob Thelen of Bay City and Michael Gorzenski of Berkley, two sister; Dolores "Dolly" Heinz of Bay City and Joanne "Fuzz" Norgan of Standish, one brother; Jerry Kaczynski, her mother-in-law; Mary Anna Gorzenski, one sister-in-law; Joann Charbonneau all of Bay City, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence J. Gorzenski, her parents; Stephen and Mary Kaczynski, her father-in-law; Joseph Gorzenski, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Richard Heinz, William Norgan, Nancy Kaczynski, Al Charbonneau, Margaret and Jerry Enzer and Mary Ellen Gorzenski. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish- St. Hedwig Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbaway with a private Rite of Committal Service at St. Patrick's Mausoleum. At the request of Mrs. Gorzenski cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family will be present at the church on Friday to receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the Humane Society of Bay County.
