Richard L. Alderton

Mr. Alderton passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 surrounded by his family at the age of 71. The son of the late Charles and Josephine (Siminski) Alderton was born November 29, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan. Richard served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed going to the casino, bowling, boating and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Alderton is survived by his wife, Cindy Alderton; two sons, Mark Alderton and his significant other, Shannon Mechling and Kenneth (Amy) Alderton; grandchildren, Courtney Alderton, Kenneth Alderton Jr. and Clarissa Alderton; brothers and sisters, Jackie (Joe) Johnson, Charles Alderton, James (Tina) Alderton, Debra Davis and Marcia Reinhardt and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell with Committal and military honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council following at Elm Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
