Richard M. Arnold "Dick"

Dick passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the age of 89. He was born on January 24, 1933 to the late Herbert and Regina (McPeak) Arnold in Bay City, Michigan. Dick was retired from the Bay City Fire Department as a Lieutenant. He also served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Dick was very involved in the community and he volunteered for the Bay County Department on Aging and was also involved with the Bay County Humane Society for many years. He had a deep love for animals.
Dick is survived by his wife, Patricia (Stanley) Arnold, whom he married on July 19, 1952 and they have spent almost 70 years together. He is also survived by his children, Michael (Mary Sue) Arnold, Martin Arnold, Mark (Linda) Arnold, Barbara (Andy) Kraycsir and Molly (Mike) Connors; grandchildren, Ken (Renee) Arnold, Alan (Kelly) Arnold, Andy (Stephenie) Kraycsir, Erin (Tom) Wagner, Tim (Sarah) Kraycsir, Leah (Russell) Bauer and Olivia Connors; great grandchildren, Marin, Claire and Carly Arnold, Andrew and Claire Kraycsir, Carson, Quentin and Xavier Arnold, Matthew and Daniel Wagner and August Bauer; brother, Donald (Sue) Arnold and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Arnold; his son, Matthew Arnold and sister, Elaine McConnell.
In honoring the wishes of Dick, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bay County Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
