Richard M. Davies

Richard M. Davies Bay City, Michigan (Formerly of Essexville, Michigan) Our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away early Sunday evening September 4, 2016 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper. Age 74 years. He was born April 10, 1942 in Essexville, Michigan. Mr. Davies was a former member of St. John's Catholic Church in Essexville, retired from General Motors Powertrain and owned Essexville Bait and Tackle for seventeen years. He was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors, raised many hunting dogs, was the proud owner of a 1963 Chevrolet C-10 pick-up truck and most of all enjoyed the time he spent with his family. On February 11, 1961 he married the former Jacqueline M. Mahaffay and she is left to cherish his memories along with two daughters and one son-in-law; Karen and Roger Dominowski of Sanford and Lori Davies and her special friend; Mark Urban of Bay City, five grandchildren; Brittany (Joseph) Baranowski, Craig Sieja and his special friend; Brogan Van Tifflin, Briana Dominowski and her special friend; Jeremy Bosco, Austin Dominowski and Chelsea (Tom) Cronkright, four great grandchildren; Luke, Olivia, Tylar and Lilly, his mother; Lena Windt, two brothers; Rick and Jack, three sisters; Kay, Linda and Lee Ann, two sisters-in-law; Donna and Charlotte and one brother-in-law; Dennis, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by one son; Richard Davies, one daughter; Sandra Davies, his father; John Davies and his grandmother; Grace Fredenburg, one brother; Art and one brother-in-law; Danny Funeral and Committal Services will take place Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with private interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday to receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
