Richard "Dick" Floyd Roese

Dick Roese passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Bay Shores Nursing Home surrounded by his beloved family at 81 years of age.  The son of the late Floyd and Lillian (Wieland) Roese born September 26, 1937 in Bay City Michigan.  Dick was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church.  He founded Roese Contracting Company and was active in running his business until his passing, arriving early every day.  He looked upon his current and former employees as family, often finishing a conversation with a loving (but serious) quip of "ok, now back to work".

Mr. Roese is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Jean Roese; one son, Robert (Lisa) Roese; one daughter, Amy (James) Herber; four grandchildren, Jacob Roese, Evelyn Herber, Lillian (John)  Henning and Andrea Herber; two brothers, William (Carol) Roese and Thomas (Sandy) Roese; one sister, Linda (Ross) Green and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Roese.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Seafert with private interment following in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
