Richard B. Kilborn

Richard B. Kilborn passed away suddenly on Tuesday August 3, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 67. He was born April 12, 1943 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Richard was retired from GM Flint Metal Fabrication. He was a member of Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. Richard's greatest enjoyment came from the time he spent with his grandchildren. Richard is survived by his wife and companion of 30 years Elaine Mary, whom he married on July 13, 2000; his mother, Dorothy Kilborn; children, Deb & Dave Wurfel, Glenn & Margaret Kusey and Lisa & Gary Rechsteiner; grandchildren, Adam Kusey, Jillian Kusey, Jack Rechsteiner, Sam Rechsteiner and Ella Rechsteiner; brothers and sisters, Jon & Helen Kilborn, Joel Kilborn, Linda Kilborn, Cheryl Kilborn & Jim Tarchinski, Lance Kilborn & Sue Ralph, Donna & Gary VanPelt, Kevin & Patti Kilborn and Van Kilborn & Sue Kilborn; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dolores & Tom Charlier, Lorraine & Gil LaCroix, Jim & Barb Artman, Pat Artman, Don & Paula Artman and Ed & Joyce Artman; and several nieces & nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Karl K. Kilborn. The funeral service will take place at 10:00am on Saturday August 7, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Sr. Mary Epple, R.S.M. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 9:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
