Richard passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the age of 89. He was born on July 4, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Augustine and Mary (Lijewski) McNally. Dick was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish in Essexville. He was also a member of the K of C Council 2740, St. George Society of Bay City, AARP, SERA Chapter 24 and The Lion’s Club for 25 years. Dick was very active in the parish and was a Church Sacristan, Lector and Eucharist Minister. He volunteered with the Hospital Communion Team with his wife, Lorraine, for several years as well. Richard was an Auditor for the State of Michigan for 38 years. He was an active blooper ball player, enjoyed bowling and playing cards. He loved going camping and fishing with his family and working and “tinkering at The Farm”.
Richard is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Lorraine (Corrion) McNally; children, Raymond (Rochelle) McNally of Rockford, Michigan, Margaret (Art) Caligiuri of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Theresa (Larry) Dauer of Kawkawlin, Michigan, Diane (Chris) Yearkey of Essexville, Michigan and Kay (Lee) Shorkey of Bay City, Michigan; grandchildren, Chris McNally, Bri McNally, Paige McNally, Carly (Ethan) Legg, Rachel Dauer, Karl Weber, Michael Dalzell, Haley Shorkey and Carson Shorkey; great grandchild, Reagan McNally; sister, Mary (Mitch) Berger of Battle Creek, Michigan; brother-in-law, Paul Corrion and sister-in-law, Lois Engelhart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene McNally; sister, Romona McNally; father and mother-in-law, Edward and Margaret (Jacobs) Corrion; brother-in-laws, Joseph, Raymond, William and Robert Corrion and sister-in-laws, Elaine Jacobs, Patricia Kunkel, Jane Collins and Janet Corrion.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish, officiated by Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik. Private Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. On Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, there will be a Bible Presentation by the Knights of Columbus 2740, followed by a Service of Remembrance by The Lions Club, followed by a Vigil for Richard. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bay City Lions or Americans Home Health and Hospice Care.
