Richard J. Reminder

Mr. Reminder was welcomed into heaven on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the age of 88. Richard was born on June 14, 1929 in West Branch, Michigan to Genevieve and Edward Reminder. Richard played baseball for the St. Louis Browns. After a baseball injury he became a chemist for Marathon Oil and retired from Nodular Iron Company.

Mr. Reminder married the love of his life, Savilla Miller on August 4, 1951. She preceded him in death in 2014. They had four children: Randy (Jennifer) Reminder, Kathleen Whalen, Edward Reminder and Barbara (Ronald) Pauley. Richard and Savilla had 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Robert Reminder. Richard was preceded in death by his siblings: Delbert, Patricia, Donna, Doris and Terry.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the North Euclid Church of God. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Windlan with private interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Reminder will be taken to the church to lie in state on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial cards for the North Euclid Church of God will be available at the funeral home.
