Ricky Ray Greania

Ricky was welcomed into heaven, Monday, January 25, 2021 while surrounded by his family, at the age of 68 years. Ricky was born March 21, 1952 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Hartley and Iva (Stonerock) Greania. He enjoyed playing, coaching and managing softball teams in the Bay City area, where he continued to pitch until his mid-50's.  He was an avid Detroit Lions fan, deer hunter, loved duck hunting, ice fishing and trapping. Ricky had a humorous personality and the ability to make friends with everyone. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and having cookouts.

Ricky is survived by his two brothers, Gary "Mac" (Sharon) Greania and Richard Roller; three children, Brian (Jennifer) Greania, Laurie (Clint) Ewald and Heather (Matthew) Roosa; seven grandchildren, Nadia Greania, Lydia (Sam) Braun, Ethan, Claudia, and Lance Sharp, Jonathan Greania, Ava, Matthew, and Mileena Roosa; niece and nephew, James Greania and Sarah (Matthew) Dennis.

Visitation will take place on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home with internment to follow at Gilford Township Cemetery. The family will be present from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  We are currently still under the governor's executive order of social distancing and limited to 25 visitors in the chapel at one time. You may experience a wait while paying your respects, face coverings must be worn. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.  The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for their compassion and assistance during this difficult transition.
