Ricky Allen Kolba

Ricky Allen Kolba passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the age of 63. A lifelong resident of Bay City, Michigan, Ricky was born on November 18, 1962, to the late Edward and Janette Kolba.

Ricky found joy in the simple things in life. He loved hunting, fishing, playing video games, watching the news, spending time with his dogs, and, above all, making memories with his children and grandchildren. His greatest happiness came from being surrounded by his family. He was also an admirer of musician Allen Jackson.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Rebecca Kolba, Natasha Kolba, Brittany (Jay) Kolba, and Corriona Kolba. Ricky was a proud grandfather to Madison Mooneyham, Tilor Mooneyham, Mia Thomas (McMurren), Degrick, Aden, Issac, Zikara, Elliana Lynn, Nevaeh Lynn, Janiyah Walker, Adelya Walker, Kyrie "Bubbie" Jackson, Ja'Kayla Arnold, and Tylor Arnold, all of whom he loved dearly.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, including Mary Byer and Janet (Paul) Mackey; the mothers of his children, Tamara Behmlander and Kathy Jackson; his longtime companion, Erica Kielpinski; his hunting friend, Rob; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Ricky will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his devotion to his family, and the special bond he shared with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
