Rita Mary Schultz

Rita passed away peacefully at Sheffield Bay Assisted Living on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the age of 91. She was born on July 19, 1932 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Theodore and Rose (Gerulski) Rytlewski. She loved bingo, music, game shows, dancing, getting her hair done, a chocolate shake, all babies, reading and a coke in a dixie cup. She married the love of her life, Raymond Schultz on September 6, 1952.
Rita is survived by her children, Diane Chartier, Sue (Randy) Chartier, Tom (Diane) Schultz, Gary (Janet) Schultz, Mark Schultz, Jim (Kathy) Schultz, Mary Lou Schultz, Paul Schultz, Amy (Chris) Henley, Becky Davis, John (Jamie) Schultz, Steven (Traci) Schultz and Ben (Lacey) Schultz; grandchildren, Lisa DeChane, Matt Chartier, Chrissy Socia, Sarah Redick, Kevin Schultz, Jessica Grzegorczyk, Brian Schultz, Aaron Schultz, Olivia Corry, April Johnson, Ryan Schultz, Eric Schultz, Patrick Schultz, Maggie Schultz, Danny Schultz, Angela Jenks, Brandon Gottschling, Lori Gottschling, Adam Schultz, Sam Schultz, Isaac Schultz, Krystal Davis, Charlotte Davis, Alexis Davis, Monica Schultz, Tony Schultz, Victoria Schultz, Jackie Schultz, Zachary Schultz, Andrew Schultz and Noah Schultz; 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Schultz; sister, Virginia Spyhalski; brother, Eugene Rytlewski and Jerome Rytlewski; three sons-in-law, Emery Chartier, Dave Chartier and Darrell Davis and grandson, Kristopher Schultz.

Memorial service for Rita will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Hank Messing. The family will be present to receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contribution may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
