Robert "Bob" E. Cajigas

Robert “Bob” Cajigas passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, at McLaren Bay Region with his loving family by his side at the age of 75. He was born in Bay City, Michigan, on April 18, 1951, to the late Tomas and Rosemary (Bell) Cajigas.

Bob was a man who found joy in the simple things in life. He loved wearing Hawaiian shirts, he enjoyed building WWII model tanks and scenes, golfing, and spending time with his beloved dog, Gertrude. Above all, Bob treasured the time he shared with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him great happiness and many cherished memories.

Bob is survived by his three children, Nicole (Steve Fitch) Cajigas-Fitch, Michelle Cajigas, and Kristin (John) Garling; three grandchildren, Reese Hnanicek, Logan Garling, and Kendall Garling; two great-grandchildren, Dean Hnanicek and Nora Hnanicek; and his beloved dog, Gertrude.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Gloria Cajigas.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Gephart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Midland Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home and again on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In honor of Bob, the family asks that everyone wear Hawaiian shirts. We’d love to see everyone in their favorite Hawaiian shirt as we celebrate and remember him.
