Robert "Bob" E. Kalinowski

Mr. Kalinowski passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the age of 79. The son of the late Ira and Emily (Luczak) Kalinowski was born September 19, 1942 in Bay City, Michigan. Bob grew up in Fisherville, proud graduate of St. Joe's in 1960 and was a member of St. Gabriel Parish. On July 30, 1966 he married the love of his life, Bernadette L. Savage at St. Mary's Church in Bay City and she preceded him in death in 2014. He retired as a chemical technologist from Dow Corning, was a member of the K of C Msgr Eugene A Forbes 3590 Council and enjoyed gardening, camping, sports, polka music, playing cards and having lunch with his St. Joe's reunion group, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his children; Brian (Yvette) Kalinowski, Lee Ann (John) Bissonette, Matthew (Amy) Kalinowski, Kathy (Anthony) Bates, David (Amber) Kalinowski, his grandchildren; Larissa, Allison, Elena, Wyland, Eric, Emily, Jasmine, Claret, Azilda and Delaphine and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Kalinowski; sister, Ruth Ann Kalinowski and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel Parish (St. Joseph's Church). The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Thomas Sutton with the Rite of Committal following in St. Anthony's Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral home on Tuesday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Kalinowski will be taken to the church to lie in state on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
