Robert Walter Fischer, age 88, of Bay City, our caring, generous, hard working, loving, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, was born into eternal life on April 10th, 2026. Bob was born in Bay City on January 2nd, 1939, to Wilhamena (Hoppe), and Walter Fischer. He graduated from Handy High in 1955, and joined the Army in 1956, where he served for 3 years and was awarded an honorable discharge as an E5. He took an apprenticeship program for Tool & Die making with General Motors and retired from there after almost 45 years as a Tool & Die maker. He met his wife Nancy on a blind-date, in 1960 and they were married November 4th, 1961 at Zion Lutheran Church, where they have been faithful members ever since. Bob was an usher, Elder, grounds keeper and all-around handyman for the school and church when needed and visited people at their home or care facility to give them communion up until 2025. He loved to go deer hunting with his son, Kevin, and loved to play softball and blooperball until he was 75 years old. Bob also loved to bowl his whole life, going to many ABC tournaments and also bowling multiple 300 games.

To cherish his memory, Bob leaves his loving wife Nancy, their four children; Gayle (Paul) Pichiotino, Stephanie Fischer, Kevin Fischer, and Michele (William) Rozek.
