Robert Louis Herber "Bob"

Bob passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the age of 80. He was born June 8, 1943 to the late David and Violet (Lambert) Herber. He graduated from Bay City Central, class of 1961. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp and was retired from the Bay City Fire Department as Assistant Chief after 32 years of service.

Bob is survived by his children, Sherry Davidson of Pueblo, CO and Michelle Jefferson of Kentwood, MI; step-children, Kim, Jody and Adam; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; Sisters, Judy Reszke and Carol Taglauer; brother, Carl Herber and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, whom he married on November 30, 1989 and she passed on September 29, 2020. Bob is also preceded in death by his step-daughter, Rhonda Lacey McKee; sister, Shirley Rexin; brother and sister-in-law, William and Barbara Herber and brother-in-law, Roger Reszke.

In honoring the wishes of Bob, cremation has taken place and no service are being planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bay City Fire Department or Camp Fish Tales.
