Robert M. Jackson

Robert passed away early Thursday morning, June 21, 2018 at his residence at the age of 83 years. He was born in Bay City on April 26, 1935 to the late James and Ione (Jarvis) Jackson. He married the former Gloria Kay LeTourneau on October 7, 1957 in Bay City and spent 60 years together. Robert was a parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Parish and retired after 34 years as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Services.
Robert is survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Barb Dietlein, Michele (Richard) Klopf, Robert (Carol) Jackson and Patti Jackson; grandchildren, Melodie (Mike) Dodman, Jeff Dietlein, Josh McDonald, Karen (Shane) Antcliff, Matt (Mallory Masters) Jackson and Jenny (Bill) Hillyard; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, James J. Jackson; son-in-law, Jeffery Dietlein; three sisters and one brother.
Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge. Private interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Kawkawlin. Friends may visit with that family at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.
