Robert Matthew Samuels

Robert passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the age of 54. He was born on February 11, 1967 in Detroit, Michigan and was adopted by his mother, Phyllis (Burcham) Choroba, at 7 months old. He graduated from Redford Union High School in Redford Township in 1986. Robert was a family man and would do anything for his friends and family. Most of his family and close friends referred to him either as "Uncle Rob" or "Big Rob". He had the sweetest soul and was such a caring, loving and giving person, everyone loved him. Robert enjoyed shooting pool with his friends, watching WWE wrestling and absolutely loved to laugh. He also loved animals and cooking. He was a cook for many different restaurants all over the state.
Robert is survived by his mother, Phyllis Choroba; sisters, Beth Ann (Robert) Hall and Mary Elizabeth Samuels; nieces and nephews, Jessica (Mark) Cieszlak, Wayne Rajaniemi, Kalie Cavanaugh, Liam Cavanaugh and Carys Cavanaugh. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, many close friends and his favorite dog, Joreja. Robert is preceded in death by his step-father, Joseph Choroba and nieces, Allison Mae Cieszlak and Violet Macie Cieszlak.
In honoring the wishes of Robert, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
