Robert K. Sursely

Robert passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Bay City Comfort Care at the age of 93 years. Robert was born in Bay City on September 17, 1926 to the late Alfred and Luella (LaRue) Sursely. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Robert was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for many years and enjoyed golfing, bowling and photography. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Kellie (Tom) Battle and Robin (Tom) Walraven; grandchildren, Steven Battle, Kathryn (James) Tessmer, Kyle (Alicia) and Cody Walraven; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Sally; brother, Dick and several other siblings and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Sean Battle.
At the request of Robert, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
