Roberta Ella Richard

Our loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister passed away early Friday morning April 29, 2016 at her residence with her family at her side. Age 75 years. She was born June 20, 1940 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. Mrs. Richard was a member of All Saints Parish-St. James Church, graduated from Bay City Central High School and was formerly employed with Mast Foulds & Co. PC. Roberta enjoyed traveling with her husband Claude and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Left behind to cherish her memories are one son; Kevin Richard of Gross Pointe, MI, two daughters and two sons-in-law; Claudette and Patrick Greenhoe of Bay City and Krystal and John DePascale of Surprise, AZ, three grandchildren; Krystofer and Kaiden DePascale and Mason Greenhoe, her mother; Nina Dixon of Bay City, one sister; Beverly Webb of Bay City and many nieces and nephews. On October 27, 1962 she married Claude John Richard and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her father; Harry Dixon, one brother; Patrick Dixon and one brother-in-law; Darwin Webb. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. All Saints Parish - St. James Church, 710 Columbus Ave. Bay City, MI 48708. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Jose M. Cabrera with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. to receive visitors on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Richard will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
