Ronald A. Schwartz

Ronald passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper at the age of 85 years. He was born in Bay City on July 25, 1936 to the late Adolph and Edna (Winquest) Schwartz. On February 11, 1958 he married the former Catherine Briggs in Elkton, Maryland and she preceded him in death. Ron was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church for many years and was part of the church choir. Ron worked as the general manager for Con Agra Grain Elevator and owned and operated Ron's Remodeling and Repair. He was also a member of the LFH Hall and Tri City Competition Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and being with his family.
Ron is survived by his children, Larry (Becky) Schwartz, Lorie (Clark) Rux and Joe (Samantha) Schwartz; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Elaine) Schwartz; sister, Judith Howard; sisters-in-law, Judith Briggs and Jeanette Schwartz; many nieces and nephews including special niece, Shelley Walczak. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his son, Tim Schwartz; brothers, Laurence and Delene Schwartz; sister, Donna Koepf and brothers-in-law, Harold Howard and Franklin Briggs.
Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Memorial service will be live streamed at www.stjohnsbc.org . Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schaewe with private inurnment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
