Ronald R. Tilley

Ron passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center - Midland at the age of 73 years. Ron was born on March 15, 1947 to the late Eugene and Dorothy (Willy) Tilley. He married the former Suzanne M. Deming on July 17, 1965 in Houghton Lake and they were married for 55 years. Ron worked for General Motors and retired in 1997 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Linwood Gun Club and in his spare time enjoyed playing Euchre, hunting, fishing, people watching and shopping.
Ron is survived by his wife, Sue; daughters, Rebecca (Scott) Day, Tammy (Bruce) Liphard and Heather (Brian) Hampton; grandchildren, Vanessa (Travis) Schumann, Robin (Amy) Westergard, James Westergard, Brooklene Palmer, Summer (Zachary) Kroll, Trenton, Taylor and Ashlee Berry; great grandchildren, Landon, Peyton and Avery Schumann, Brayden Westergard and Kylie Wood; sister-in-law, Rita Tilley and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene and Richard Tilley.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with burial following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. We are currently still under the governor's executive order of social distancing and limited to 25 visitors in the chapel at one time.
