Roseann (Meerdo) Karmol

Mrs. Karmol passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at her residence at the age of 85 years. The daughter of the late John and Barbara (Trembulak) Meerdo was born February 4, 1931 in Bay City, Michigan. She was a long time member of Visitation Catholic Church and was a current member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Karmol was a United Way volunteer and part of their quilting and knitting groups. She was an avid quilter and quilting and sewing were a big part of her life. Left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Mike Karmol of Holt, MI; Cindy (Brian) Rivet of Grand Blanc and Barb (Ernie) Ritter of Bay City; her son-in-law, Ron Roznowski of Ypsilanti; her grandchildren, Jen Rivet of Davison; Chris (Anastasia Rodzianko) Rivet of Hanover, NH; Zach (Andi Wright) Ritter of Glasgow, KY; Nick Ritter of Bay City; she was expecting her first great grandchild in February; her brothers, Ray Meerdo of Arizona; Jim Meerdo of Essexville; her sister, Irene Zimmerman of Florida; several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was also preceded by her husband, Peter Karmol and he passed away in 1981; one daughter, Jeannine Roznowski passed away in March 2016; her siblings, Ed, Frank, Joe, Bill and Ronnie Meerdo; her special niece, Joanne Meerdo. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Marys' Church 607 E. South Union St. Bay City, MI 48706. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Karmol will be taken to the Church on Friday to lie from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
