Our loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away Friday evening September 16, 2016 with her loving family at her side, at Brookdale Senior Living in Hampton Township, Bay City, Michigan. Age 89 years. She was a member of Mesick United Methodist Church, Mesick Women's Club, Mesick Lions Club and Amvets Vets Post 120 Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth was formerly a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, she enjoyed playing pool, camping, bowling, sewing and bingo.
Left to cherish her memories are five children; Russell E. and Marilou Schuch, Roger A. and Kay Schuch, Ross E. and Vickie Schuch, Robert J. Gray and Patricia A. and Jim Robbins, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one great great grandson, one brother; Roland Luther, one sister and brother-in-law; Geraldine and Andrew Wise and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband L D Robert Gray, her parents; Russell B. and Beatrice (McConkey) Luther, the father of her children; Elverton E. Schuch, one grandchild, two brothers and two sisters-in-law; Robert and Jackie Luther, Raymond Luther and Rose Luther.
Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, September 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. with private inurnment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Officiating will be The Rev. Sharon L. Voelker.  The family will be present at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. to receive visitors. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the "Wishes of the Family".
