Sally V. Chase

Sally passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024 at the Carriage House in Bay County at the age of 88 after being admitted to hospice care in early January 2024. She was born in Chicago on August 29, 1935 to the late Leslie E. and Isabelle V. (LaCourt) Hunt. Sally was a 1953 graduate of T.L Handy High School and was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bay City. She was a homemaker while her children were young then later worked as a school bus driver for Bangor Township Schools for 20 years. Later in life, she enjoyed walking in the mall with her friends and most of all, she loved spending time with her family. 

Sally is survived by her son, Mark (Ann Marie) Chase; daughter, Leslie Chase; four grandchildren, Alexandria (Chase) Robideau, Joseph, Rebecca and Sarah Chase; two great grandchildren and her former husband, Jack D. Chase. In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her son, Steven J. Chase who passed away, November 30 2012; two brothers, Leslie (Pat) Hunt and Terry Hunt and a granddaughter.

Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Brenna Overland with private interment following at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
