Scott D. Bender

Scott passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Victory AFC Home in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 64. He was born on October 26, 1958 to the late Don and Elaine Bender in Bay City, Michigan. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and was very involved in the Church community. He graduated from John Glenn High School in 1978 and was a graduate of Delta College. He enjoyed collecting trains and loved truck driving. He was always smiling and laughing.
Scott is survived by his sister, Katherine Bender; nieces, Dayle Butler and Kristina Lafler (Barber); nephew, J.D. Butler and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Barber.
Funeral Service for Scott will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor David Winningham. The family will be present to receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
