Scott A. Smith "Smitty"

Scott passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his residence, at the age of 52. He was born November 10, 1969 in Bay City, Michigan. Scott was entered into the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the 1987 T.L. Handy State Champion Baseball Team. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, playing and watching sports and going to the family cabin on Intermediate Lake.
Left to cherish Scott's memory are his two daughters, Mackenzie Smith and Erica Smith; mother of his children, Sue Falkenberg; his mother, Marge Smith; his sister; Debbie (Chris) Szafranski; his mother-in-law; Patricia Kean; his god mother, Wilda Matthews; his god sons, Daniel Fistler and Blake Dinauer; his aunts and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald A. Smith; his father-in-law, Owen Kean; his grandparents, William "Scotty" and Alice Smith and Gerald and Gert Matthews; his god father, Billie Smith; several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Matyas with private interment in Elm Lawn Cemetery.The family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
