Sharon L. DuBay

Sharon L. DuBay, born on September 3, 1939, in Bay City, Michigan, passed away on May 8, 2025, at Brian's House at the age of 85. The daughter of the late Edward and Viola (Lesial) Gushow lived a life filled with creativity and love, touching the hearts of many through her passions and cherished relationships.

An avid enthusiast of sewing, gardening, and taking walks, Sharon practiced her skills with great dedication. One of her proudest accomplishments was the beautiful rose garden she cultivated, a testament to her nurturing spirit and love for nature.

Sharon is survived by her loving children, Michele Hibberson, Brian DuBay, and Sheri DuBay. She shared a close bond with her sister, Janice (Leo) Pietryga, and took great joy in her role as an aunt to her nieces and nephews, including Karen Torti, Diane Kotas, Brad Pietryga, and David Pietryga. Sharon's family also included her beloved guinea pig, Cuddles, as well as her grand dog, Cleopatra, and grand cat, Abby, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. DuBay, who was her partner and confidant throughout their years together.

At the request of Sharon, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Bay County Humane Society.
