Sharon Lynn VanPelt "Shari"

Shari was called to her heavenly home on October 19th after a battle with cancer. Full of life, energy, joy, and humor, Shari was deeply loved, and loved deeply.
Shari was born on May 20th 1959 to Herb and Marlene Willard, the youngest of three children, following her brother, Randy, and sister, Susan.
On February 7th 1992 she was married to Dennis VanPelt, gaining not just a husband, but also a son, Ryan. Shari’s beloved daughter Deni was born in 1993. Shari loved being a mother, and jumped into the role with gusto, as she did with everything she attempted.
Whenever Shari set her mind to something, she would make it happen. Whether it was crafting, camping, gardening, or organizing an excellent rummage sale, she never did anything halfway and tackled every challenge with boundless energy, creativity, and laughter.
In recent years, Shari enjoyed remodeling her home and garden into exactly what she wanted (getting her husband Dennis to help), and watching her flowers grow. She loved visiting her daughter, Deni, wherever she was in the country and daily updates on her worldwide travels. She enjoyed supporting her son Ryan wherever he raced his snowmobiles. She was so proud of everything her children had accomplished.
While Shari was taken too soon for her family, she expressed a brave excitement that she would soon be reunited with her loved ones in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Marlene (Pierson) Willard, in-laws Merle (Della) VanPelt, brother-in-law Albert VanPelt, and her beloved dog, Maggie.
She leaves behind her husband Dennis VanPelt, her children Ryan (Dana) VanPelt and Deni VanPelt, sister Sue (Dell) Thompson, brother Randy (Sherri) Willard, brother-in-law Gary (Donna) VanPelt, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. There are too many loved ones who are missing Shari today to even name them all.
The family will be receiving visitors on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Mt Olive Church (602 Sidney St, Bay City) with funeral service to directly follow at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Zach Steinke. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to Mt Olive Church.
The world lost a force to be reckoned with and is lesser for it.
