Shayli Kathleen Bowman-Fekete

Shayli (Shay) Kathleen Bowman-Fekete passed away unexpectedly Saturdayevening August 14, 2021 at the age of 22. Daughter of Misty Lynn Fekete (Rhodes,Michigan) She was born July 3, 1999 in Garden City, Michigan. She spent herchildhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She recently resided in Midland, Michiganwith her partner Zachary Ryan Walker with whom she was building her future.Shayli loved reading, writing, dancing and music; as well as many outdoorrecreational activities with her mom and friends. She was an avid animal lover whoaspired to become a Veterinarian. However, her passion to support and inspireothers led her to pursue a career as a Caregiver for those in need. She was a selflessand compassionate person who always put others first and encouraged andempowered them with her incredible strength, love and positivity. As a passionateand prideful American, she never passed up an opportunity to express herirrefutable appreciation for all Veteran Service members past and present. Alwaysoffering a hug and a smile or a handshake and a "thank you for your service."She was always the light hearted and bubbly personality in the room, leavingan undeniable impact on everyone she encountered. Shay's creative, expressive andquick witted sense of humor, paired with comedic and memorable movie quotesand song lyrics was the cornerstone of many lifelong and everlasting relationships.She leaves an eternal warmth in the hearts of those around her. As an only child,she developed these unbreakable bonds with close family and friends Alicia andTristan McKellip, Sylvia Miller and Cory R. Meyers. She is survived by and willbe undeniably missed by her mother Misty L. Fekete, Harry (Schatzer) Kaitlyn andNathan (Schatzer), Aunts and Uncles, Carmen and Rob Lawrence, Joshua andTiffany Fekete. Cousins, Private First Class Aidan Jack (with whom she was sovery proud), Sailor and Lilah Lawrence, Joshua A. Jr. and Jaden I. Fekete; as wellas many other family members and friends. She is survived by her grandmotherKathleen A. Canute and preceded in death by her grandfathers, John AndrewFekete and Robert R. Fodi.A Celebration of Life will be held in early/mid October (Halloween themedas this was her favorite holiday), date to be determined.
