Shirley T. Shooltz

Shirley passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age 90 years. She was born on May 4, 1931 to the late Ubel and Irene (Sharp) Rivet. Shirley married Richard Shooltz on February 2, 1979 and he preceded her in death. She retired from the Goodyear Service Store after 22 years of service and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. Shirley enjoyed quilting and traveling.
Shirley is survived by her children, James (Loretta) Wieszciecinski, Denise Rousse and David Wieszciecinski; grandchildren, Rachelle, Candice, Angela, Adam, Deidre, Dylan, David and Patrick; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including Diane Hadd; step children, Terrance, Kenneth and David Shooltz and Barbara (Gary) Behmlander. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Shooltz; sisters, Helen (John) Boudreau and Ferol (Montell) Cronk; brothers, Patrick (Eileen) and Richard Rivet and step son, Larry Shooltz.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Parish. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge with rite of committal following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Shooltz will be taken to the church to lie in state on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
