Stanley went to be with the Lord Monday evening, May 28, 2018 at his residence at the age of 78 years. The son of the late Stanley and Rosena (Heinz) Majka was born March 9, 1940 in Bay City, Michigan. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Stanley retired from G.M. Powertrain-Bay City Plant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, trips up north, going to the casino and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. He was the President of the Monitor Township Softball Association, served as Chairman of the rules committee and also was a Coach for many years. Stanley was a scout leader for the Weblos and the Cub Scouts.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife the former, Bonnie Kaye Adamson whom he married January 12, 1963; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Tina (Flores) Majka; one daughter and son-in-law, Shellie (Majka) and Ken Franz; his grandchildren, Gary Majka II, Noah Majka, Michael Franz, Jacob Franz and Courtney Franz; his sister, Joan Doyen; his uncle, Robert (Mary) Heinz; his nieces, Jennifer Doyen and Crystal (Doug) Kurchek; his special pals, Baby Baby (Reggie) and Max. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Clinton Doyen.
Funeral Services will take place on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Kruse. Private inurnment will take place later in Home Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Zion Lutheran Church, McLaren Hospice or the Donor's Favorite Charity.
