Susan was ushered into the presence of Jesus with her loved ones by her side on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 48 years. She was born in Flint, Michigan on April 8, 1973 to the late James and Sharon (Tebo) Amthor. Susan married Aaron Johnson on August 7, 1993 in New Lothrop and were married for 28 years. She was a member of New Life Missionary Church and volunteered at many schools and was very active with the children. She attended school at Ross Medical and was a nurses aide working in nursing homes and home health care. In her spare time, she enjoyed scrap booking, crafts, camping and going on road trips. She enjoyed her collection of cobalt glass and snowmen. She loved winter time and all of the snow.
Susan is survived by her husband, Aaron; daughter, Jazmine; sisters and brothers, Sharisse Amthor, Sharish (John) Moore, Stephen (Missy) Amthor, Shannon (Wesley) Benko and Scott (Rene') Amthor; nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Jamie Amthor, Maria (Brian) Borchers, Matthew (Rachel) Amthor, Claire Moore, Audrey Benko, Zachary, Johnnie (Kenzie) Moore, Alyssa Amthor, Chloe Moore, Justice Moore, Ruby and Luna Amthor, Diamond, Tre', Dawson, Jenna and Arien Sluder; great nieces, Emma, Rose and Josie; father and mother-in-law, Stanley and Donna Johnson; sister-in-law, Kristina (Sean) McGee and their daughters, Keara and Keegan McGee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her baby Johnson
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Bay Valley Christian Church. Officiating will be Pastor Jonathan Boyer with private interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Vernon, Michigan. Friends and family may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Susan will be taken to the church to lie in state on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Contributions may be made to the New Life Missionary Church or the wishes of the family.
