Meylan passed away Wednesday morning April 14, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center with her family at her side. Age 57 years. She was born August 29, 1952 to the late Earl L. Sr. and Norma B. (Aschcraft) Powers in Bay City and has resided in this area all of her life. She attended the Apostolic Christian Church. Suzie enjoyed boating, camping, spending time with her grandchildren and family and most of all afternoon countryside rides with her husband Dale.She is survived by her husband Dale whom she married on December 18, 1971 in Faith Lutheran Church. She was a devoted mother to three sons and one daughter-in-law; Dale and Lisa Meylan, Daniel Meylan and David Meylan, two special grandchildren; Micaela and Hunter Meylan, two brothers and two sisters-in-law; Earl Jr. and Barb Powers and David and Cheryl Powers, one sister; Jennifer Powers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Eileen Groeschen, Shirley and Gary Wright, Hank and Billie Meylan, Marilyn Meylan, Gene and Carol Meylan and Cindy and James Sochacki, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by three brothers-in-law; Gary, Meylan, Jack Groeschen, Richard Meylan and two sister-in-law; Fern Shannon and Donaley MeylanFuneral Services will take place Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church 2791 Fraser Road, Kawkawlin. Officiating will be the Clergy of the Church with interment following in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Meylan will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until time of service.
