Suzanne Kay Taylor

Suzanne passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Toni and Trish House at the age of 77. She was born in Bay City on August 16, 1948 to the late Calvin and Rena (LaVigne) Hartley. She was social and enjoyed working with people at the local boutiques in town. She had a love for life’s simple pleasures, going shopping, browsing at craft shows, getting lost in a good book, and sharing laughter over lunch with her cherished friends.

Some of her favorite traditions that she enjoyed so very much were Wednesdays in the park and the Bay City fireworks. She loved traveling with her daughter, Misty, they created many memories that will be treasured forever. Above all, Suzanne loved her family deeply. She took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Suzanne is survived by her daughters, Misty (Randy) Young and April (Jeff) Pilarski; grandchildren, Steven (Alyse) Yax, Austin (Allysun) Yax and Brandon Huggard; great grandchildren, Jace, Kaiden, Lucas and Delaney Yax; sister, Nancy (Dennis) LaLonde; brother, Gary (Colleen) Hartley; many nieces, nephews and special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Taylor; brother, James “Jim” (Lorraine) Hartley and sister, Barbara Conner.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff with McLaren Hospice and Toni and Trish House for all their compassion and support they have shown the family throughout this difficult time.

Memorial service for Suzanne will take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be E.J. Brown. The family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Suzanne’s name to the Toni and Trish House.
