Thomas W. Bliss

Tom died peacefully at home Tuesday morning, April 15, 2014 at the age of 76 years. The son of the late Everett S. and Thelma Mae (Collings) Bliss was born November 11, 1937 in Bad Axe, MI. Tom retired from Nodular Iron as a welder. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Detroit Tigers, golf and doing crossword puzzles. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending his winters in Arizona. He proudly served his country in the U.S. army during the Korean Conflict.
He will be remembered by his loving wife; Elaine, his step children; Pete Schmidt, Bob Schmidt, Gary Schmidt and Trisha Borkowski, his brothers; William E. and Robert L. Bliss, his sisters; Mildred J. Bliss and Arlene M. Thompson, his sister-in-law; Betty J. Geneseo and Beverly Bliss, his special niece; Kathy Gould, his special nephew; Michael Keenan, several nieces and nephews, his special friend; Joe Mayhew. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one sister; Pearl M. Webber, one brother; James C. Bliss, his mother-in-law; Helen Davies, one brother-in-law; Vernon D. Geneseo, one sister-in-law; Sharon L. Bronson.
At Tom's request cremation has taken place. A Remembrance Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
