Thomas Joseph Jacobs

Thomas passed away at his residence in Bay City on Monday, May 4, 2026 at the age of 83. He was born to the late Joseph and Marie (Barber) Jacobs on September 30, 1942 in Essexville, Michigan. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. He will be remembered for the care he put into his lawn, landscape, and vegetable garden. They were always neat and well kept, something he took great pride in. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it be fishing on the boat, golfing, or barbequing. He also enjoyed hunting and even did his own taxidermy. He valued his friendships deeply and always looked forward to his Tuesday morning breakfasts with his lifelong friends.

Thomas is survived by his daughter, Amy Jacobs; son, Mark (Jennifer) Jacobs; brothers, Ronald (Cindy) Jacobs and William (Marcy) Jacobs; sister-in-law, Mavis (Robert) Bercaw and brother-in-law, James (Judy) Dummer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Jacobs and their twin sons, Tim and Todd Jacobs.

Funeral Service for Thomas will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, officiating will be E.J. Brown. Private burial and military honors will be held at a later date at Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Thomas’s name to Any Veterans Organization of your choosing or Mission 22 Service Dogs.
