Thomas J. Middleton

Thomas J. Middleton, originally from Bay City, Michigan went to his forever rest on May 7, 2022. Together with his wife and best friend of 40 years, Tom and Doreen spent the last 25 years in Macomb, Michigan building their lives and careers together. Along with Doreen, Tom loved golfing, fishing, hunting and doing things for others. Tom's love for others was his quiet, unsung strength. Never one to want attention, he would give of himself when he saw someone in need. His generosity was not only to family, friends and coworkers, but also his outdoor pets, primarily his backyard birds and adopted cats at work.
Tom is survived by the love of his life, Doreen; mother, Joyce Middleton; sister, Rebecca (Thomas) VanDenBoom; brothers, Daniel (Kathleen) Middleton and William (Karen) Middleton; mother-in-law, Marie Bauer, father-in-law, Donald VanWagner (Goldie); brothers-in-law, John (Joni) VanWagner, Richie (Dawnaven) VanWagner; sister-in-law, Kathy Sue (Rich) Holzhausen and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his father, John H. Middleton; step father-in-law, LeRoy Bauer and his brother-in-law, Donald VanWagner.
Funeral and Committal services will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Visitation will take place on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
