Thomas C. Richardson

Mr. Thomas C. Richardson, of AuGres, formerly of Bay City, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at St. Mary's of Saginaw, age 67. The son of the late Russell & Marcella (Turmell) Richardson, he was born September 9, 1945 in Bay City. Thomas served with the U.S. Coast Guard in the Great Lakes during Vietnam. He retired in 2001 from Saginaw Steering Gear. Thomas moved to AuGres in 1993 and enjoyed his summer time perch fishing and going on drives. He loved his family and his special buddy, his golden retriever, Shemp. On May 8, 1971 Thomas married the former Kathleen K. Miller and she survives him along with his daughter, Eve (Curt) Little of Ann Arbor and their three sons, Cristian, Noah and Ethan; his daughter, Kim Richardson of Bay City and his son, Ryan (Jennifer) Richardson of Bay City; three sisters and one brother, Karen Kuch, John (Rita) Richardson, Gail (Mike) O'Leary and Ann (John) Hebert; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Vern) Veit and Renee (Leonard) Schiefer; and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Thomas was also preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Hecox; and a brother-in-law, Jim Kuch. It was Thomas' desire that cremation take place and a Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Vern Veit and John Veit. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
