Veronica M. Grusecki "Ronni"

Our loving mother, grandmother, Maya, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many died on April 5, 2022, at the age of 97 with her family at her side. Ronni was born in Standish on June 2, 1924, to Jerome and Henrietta (LaSage) Coupie. She was an active member of St. Catherine of Siena (St. Vincent DePaul Parish) in many capacities, delivered Mobile Meals for over 47 years, drove cancer patients for treatments and was a volunteer every week at McLaren Bay Regional Medical Center. She served as president of her parish Alter Society and the K of C #414 Women's Auxiliary, Co-Leader of Tops Mi 1152, member of League of Catholic Women and Men and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed golfing with the St. Catherine of Sienna Golf League which she started some 50 years ago and bowling and was Secretary-Treasurer for many years on her bowling league.
On September 28, 1946, she married Walter J. Grusecki who preceded her in death on April 29, 2012. Surviving are their children, James (Paula) San Antonio, TX, Robert (Cathy) Village Mills, TX, Dennis (special friend Kim Armstrong) Belleville, MI, Richard (Rhonda) Glendale, AZ, M.J. (Jeff) Seward and Dale (Michelle) all of Bay City; 16 grandchildren, Allen, Thomas (Toni), Jennifer (Andre) Jennings, Robert (Stephanie), Mark, Shawn (Jaime), Merritt, Amanda (Bill) Parish, Aaron, Samantha, Sara, Joshua, Travis, Tiffany (Jason), Jared and Jenna Seward; 8 great grandchildren; 4 great great granchildren; sister-in-law, Patricia Coupie and daughter-in-law, Doralyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walt, son, Michael, daughter in-law, Kathy and sisters, Una Krupa, Nova Manczak, Marylis Przepiora, Iva VanDenBoom, Pat Johnstone, June Hewitt, brother, John Coupie and 10 brothers in law.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Peace Parish. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge with cremation to follow. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Grusecki will be taken to the church to lie in state on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Catherine of Siena's (St. Vincent de Paul Society) food bank, Toni and Trish House, Brian's House or family wishes. The family would like to thank the staff at Bay Valley House Assisted Living for the compassionate care they showed to our mother.
