Virginia Gail "Ginny" Kimmel

Ginny passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Bay City Comfort Care at the age of 87. The daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (Lavrack) Morse was born October 21, 1935 in Bay City, Michigan. Ginny was a lifelong member of Christian Assembly Church and enjoyed playing bingo, keno, and cards. She also enjoyed dancing, going to rummage sales and spending the winters in Florida with her husband, Galen.

Ginny is survived by her children, Bruce Kimmel and his significant other, Roberta Coler, Beth Kimmel and Michelle (Mick) Monville; grandchildren, Karley Obermiller, Chelsea Kimmel, Jenae (Chris) Prell, Michelle (Greg) Hall, Nicole (Brent) Wagner and Mandy Harborth; great grandchildren, Myckaley Prell, Jennaca Prell, Alexa Prell, Natalie Wagner, Garrett Hall, Madalyn Hall, Avery Hall, Selena Shorkey, Enzo Shorkey and Lilliana Shorkey and her sister, Betty Parker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Galen Kimmel; grandson, Daniel Harborth; son-in-law, Michael Stiger and her brothers and sisters, Charlie Morse, Jonnie Morse, Emma McCann, Albert Morse, Bernard Morse, Dorothy Jacobs, Evelyn Nowicki, Fred Morse, Dicki Morse and Gerald Morse.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Christian Assembly Church. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Place. Private interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
