Vivian L. Hoppe

Mrs. Hoppe passed away Monday June 18, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region at the, age 89 years. The daughter of the late Frank and Minne (Westbrook) Bridgewater was born August 25, 1928 in Springfield, Illinois. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She had a great passion for doing ceramics and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left behind to cherish her memory is; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mike Piotrowski; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Dan and Peijin Hoppe; Curtis and Maureen Hoppe and Kim Hoppe; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; her brothers, Jerry (Alice) Bridgewater; Oscar (Dawilla) Bridgewater and Wayne (Marge) Bridgewater; one sister, Mary Dufort. In addition to her parents she was also preceded by her husband, Donald Harold Hoppe; one son, Larry Hoppe; her step-father, William "Bill" Roach; one brother, Frank Bridgewater; one sister, Jean (Wescott) Rylance; one brother-in-law, Jake Dufort. We need to Thank McLaren second floor ICU for the great care she received. Plus we need to Thank everyone at Bay Shores and also on Michigan the Nurses and Cenas for making us feel that this was Mom's home. We can't Thank you enough.
Funeral and Committal Services will take place Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Hall. Private inurnment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. to receive family and friends. Mrs. Hoppe will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
