Willie passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her sons' residence at the age of 96 years. She was born in Buchanan, Michigan on December 9, 1925 to the late Reber and Helen (Mitchell) Figley. Willie worked and enjoyed her job as a professional dog groomer. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary 1010 where she was President, Past President, Mother of the Year, Grandmother of the Year and many other offices. Willie was also in the REAC Eagles charter member 1010, life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 9 Auxiliary and was Commander and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 485 Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, bowling, fishing and hunting. She was also a member of the NRA.
Willie is survived by her children, Ila Mae Stanley, Danny (Ellen) Bisel and Peggy Sue Gregory; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; daughter, Barbara Cabay; great grandson, Christopher Cabay; brother, Donald Figley and sister, Wanda Haut
Funeral service will take place on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Travis Smith with interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
