Click HERE To View Video TributeThe son of the late Margaret (Streu) and Clifford C. Dodge passed away early Saturday morning June 5, 2010 at Brian's House. Age 67 years. He was born September 20, 1942 in Bay City. He retired from the Boilermakers Local # 169 as a Journeyman Boilermaker, was a member of the Houghton Lake Kiwanis Club and was active with Special Olympics and Tip-Up-Town and had served with the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrestling, boxing, his dogs and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all.
On July 23, 1977 he married his wife of thirty two years the former Marian P. Rotunno and she survives his passing along with three sons; William T. Dodge and his special friend Jessica, Peter C. (Sheri) Dodge of Beaverton and Dominic (Janelle) Beni of Carrollton, three daughters; Angela (Kevin) Allish of Zilwaukee, Liza ( Paul) Gatesman of Howell and Sarah Dodge-West of Bay City, his grandchildren;, Abby, Ryan, Rebecca, Andrea Dodge, Jessica and special friend Marc, Isaac, Joseph, Megan Beni, Emily (Garth) Gruno, Madison, Jack, William (Rebecca ) Doyle Allanah Doyle, Gabriel Gatesman and Gage West, two brothers; Michael Dodge of Grand Rapids and James (Sheila) Dodge of Gladwin, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Robert Rotunno, Richard (Nena) Rotunno, of Santa Fe, N.M., Rudy (Hope) Rotunno of Vestaburg, Judy Rotunno of Hemlock, Randy ( Monica) Rotunno, Cathy (Julian) Holys of Thomas Township, several nieces and nephews and his very special friends; Mick and Pete Crawford, Pete Schmidt, Denny Wojciechowski and Betsy Groulx. He was preceded in death by one daughter; Kersten Margaret Dodge, great grandson; Joshua Gruno and two brothers-in-law; Ronald and Roland Rotunno.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brian's House for the kind and compassionate care they provided for Mr. Dodge during his stay with them.
Funeral and Committal Services will take place Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. with Cremation following. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
