William N. Richter

Richter, William N. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Richter passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 71 years. He was born May 3, 1940 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. Bill was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Chruch and retired from General Motors Powertrain after thirty one years of services. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and was a proud patriot. He is survived by his wife Colleen, four children; Brenda (Duane) Ebach, Bryan Richter, Barbara (John) Loman and Major Thomas and Jill Richter, eight grandchildren; Benjamin Ebach, Katherine Ebach and 2nd Lt Bradley Ebach, Meaghan Richter, Alec Sierko, Adam Richter, Haley Richter and Elli Richter, his mother; Evelyn K. Richter, one two sisters and one brother-in-law; Cheryl and Al Fox and Joan Behrman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; William F. "Bill" Richter patriarch and developer of the Bay City State Park and one sister; Betty LeTourneau. A Memorial Serivce will take place Saturday July 30, 2011 at 12:00 O'Clock Noon at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schaewe. At the request of Mr. Richter cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family will be present at the church on Saturday to receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. and until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for Friends of Bay City State Park Recreation Area C/O Saginaw Bay Visitors Center 3582 State Park Dr. Bay City, Michigan 48706 will be available at the service or the funeral home.
