William A. "Bill" Schrems

Bill passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the age of 65. The son of the late George and Kathryn (McPhee) Schrems was born February 28, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan. Bill graduated from Swan Valley High School in 1978 and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, he retired from General Motors in 2024 as a tool and die maker after 39 years of service. Bill was a friend to many people and loved his family, especially his children. He had a big family that was very important to him, he never missed an event where family was involved, especially traveling all over the country to watch his sons band perform.

Bill is survived by his three children, Katie Schrems, Emily Schrems and her significant other, Stephen Hogenson, Connor Schrems and their mother, Lori Bednar; son-in-law, CJ Walleck; granddaughter, Sloane Hogenson; brothers and sisters, Dan (Linda) Schrems, Mary Hincka, Joe (Annie Houlihan) Schrems, Eileen (Dave) Kaufmann, Peggy (Mark) Garabelli and Jim Schrems and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and dogs. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Janet Schrems; nephew, Scott Hincka and his brother-in-law, Jim Hincka.

Funeral and Committal service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Phillip Baerwolf with private interment following in Fremont Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
