William L. Stephenson

William passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center at the age of 83 years. William was born in Lenora, Kansas to the late Robert and Anna Belle (Miller) Stephenson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. William worked for many years for the city of Bay City and Bay County in the public works building and retired in 2001 from Monitor Sugar. In his spare time he loved to golf and hang out with his grandchildren.
William is survived by his children, William (Linda), Andrew (Barb) and Linda (Bill) Ward; grandchildren, Ashley, Billy, Austin (Katelyn), Kostandi, Dagan, Alexandra, Morgan and Jacob; dear friend, Diane Swincicki; sister, Marcelyn (Dave) Bangel and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert and sisters, Marjorie and Maxine.
Funeral service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the Gephart Funeral Home; Inc. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie. Per William's wishes cremation will take place following the service and a private inurnment of his cremains will take place in Lenora South Cemetery in Lenora, Kansas. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
