William F. "Bill" Wright

Bill passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, August 19, 2022, at the age of 82 years. He was born in Bay City on March 6, 1940, to the late Francie and Addie (Slaven) Wright. He married the former Carole Wynn, and they were married for 54 years until her passing on November 24, 2016. Bill worked for over 30 years at General Motors and retired in 1998. He was a devoted Detroit Lions fan and an avid golfer. Bill and his wife enjoyed traveling and enjoyed several cruises together. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard and the garage.
Bill is survived by his son, David (Cindy) Wright; daughter, Vicki (Larry) Briggs; brother, Albert (Arlene) Wright; sisters, Liliah (Tom) Kloha and Joyce (Alex) MacGregor; sister-in-law, Marilyn Wright and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Edmond Wright; sisters, Sharon (Jerome) Fortin and Fransis Lee.
Visitation for William will take place from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Per Williams wishes cremation will take place after the service. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. For online condolences visit www.gephartfuneralhome.com
